Have people said "You have a great Voice!" but you weren't sure what to do with it?
That's where Find Your Voice comes in!

You can discover whether or not Voice Acting is for you in 10, one hour voice over training sessions, held in my home, at your convenience over the course of 12 weeks.  (we will need to reschedule classes at times, so 12 weeks is the deadline for getting all 10 in).

The tuition includes a 4 hour marketing seminar that covers all of the ins and outs of getting work in the voice acting industry. You will share your class with my other students who are taking private instruction.

Scroll down for more about producing a demo when you are ready.

Tuition for the 10, one hour sessions and 4 hour Marketing Seminar is $600. This rate has not changed in 4 years, but it WILL go up to $750 in 2017.  When you are ready, call Jean Zarzour at 216-832-6557 to ask any questions you may have and to plan your first session!

Are you a working actor without a Voice Over Demo?
If so, WHY? When you can get a competitive,
1 minute commercial and/or narration demo
produced right in your own backyard for THOUSANDS LESS
than anywhere else in the country?

And, so you know what to DO with your demo,
a 4 hour Marketing Seminar is INCLUDED!

READY TO PRODUCE A 1:00 COMMERCIAL DEMO?
Once you have the proper training, I will produce your custom written demo for a total of $1,400
($1,500 if you are within a 2 hour drive from Ohio.)
I will drive to where you are to direct you in your recording session

This fee includes EVERYTHING -
8, NOW 10 , 1 hour writing and rehearsal sessions with you,
the recording session fee and all copies of your demo (mp3, wav and 4 cd's)!

Actors with existing, professional VO recordings can also get a demo
produced with your material and some new copy if needed.
The same rates apply if we record extra copy.
However, I will NOT edit home-made recordings.
Your recordings must be high quality, professionally sweetened spots.
The fee to edit those existing recordings is $600.

I've produced dozens of voice over demos for over 10 years
 in Cleveland and Pittsburgh.
The actors who are marketing those demos are getting work!
1st - We meet at my home (or we Skype if you are not within a reasonable driving distance)
where I will have you read several pieces of copy
to asses your skills, style, ability to take direction and overall vocal quality.

2nd- We meet again and begin writing copy based on an interview process
that I do to find out which products you love,
memorable experiences you've had and other stories that
we can tweak for typical but original voice over copy.
We write between 10 and 13 pieces so that we have
plenty to choose from. We record them all,
even though we don't use them all in the finale demo.

3rd -  After about 3, 1 hour writing sessions, we begin rehearsing
your copy to find at least 3 ways of delivering it. Clients look to you
for ideas, so we start working on that right away.
4th - You are given free recording software
if you don't already own it, so that you can rehearse
from home and send me mp3 files to critique between sessions.
5th -   When we agree that you are ready,
we set up a time to record at one of the best
recording studios in the country -  I've worked at them all
and they are all within a short drive from where you are!

Here are the studios that I work with most:
Commercial Sound and Image
in Cleveland

Market Street Sound in Pittsburgh
You will be in the recording studio between 1 and 2 hours to record the spots.
Once the spots are "sweetened" with sound affects and music, they are edited to
create a 1 minute demo packed with a variety of your most impressive reads.
You will have a couple of weeks to live with the demo(s). If there are any
edits required, we will make those changes for you.

You will be given an mp3 and wav file in addition to 4 cd's labeled with your desired info.
BUT WAIT! THERE'S MORE!
You are also welcome to attend the 4 hour Marketing Seminar that
I offer all of her students and demo clients at no extra charge!

If you are interested in only attending the Marketing Seminar,
the next one is Sunday, November 16, 11am-3pm.
Fee - $150
Call 216-832-6557 to register.
My intention is to help foster a professional pool of talent.
So, attend the seminar and take LOTS of notes!
~Here are testimonials from a few happy students and demo clients~
  • I’ve done lots of television and film work, and even some voice over;  but the world of voice over is so specialized, that, in spite of working with other voice over coaches, I never felt like I was ready to do my own demo.  After just a few hours with Jean it all fell into place! I would not hesitate to use Jean for special projects as well as to continue to keep my newly found skills in tune, and I highly recommend Jean’s classes for beginner through experienced actors!   Linda Castro  (award winning actress with co-staring roles on ER, The Shield, Cold Case, and Veronica Mars
  • Jean worked with me to create and produce the best possible demo reel based on my abilities, and it still stands out. Her knowledge of many aspects of performing and voice-over, not to mention her sense of comedy, combine with her professional approach to make her tops at whatever she endeavors. I cannot recommend her highly enough. Lissy Gulick
  • I have been wanting a better audio demo for years.  Jean Zarzour's expert advice and coaching have been invaluable in helping me to create one.  Thanks, Jean.  Pete Ferry
  • "Every actor remembers that moment of inspiration when they caught the "Acting Bug". For me it was the first time I met Jean Zarzour. She not only gave me the confidence to pursue my dreams, she got me my first Hollywood Agent. I truly believe it is because of her confidence in me that I have been a full time working actor in Hollywood for more than a decade now. She is much more than an acting coach, she is a career builder." - Jonathan T. Floyd
  • Jean Zarzour has been instrumental in my professional career.  Her guidance and support has been instrumental as I have used what I have learned to become “The Voice of the Lake Erie Crushers” Minor League Baseball team, done numerous business videos and voice over content for our businesses and others, and frankly have become incredibly comfortable using my voice to make people smile.  Without Jean, I would not have achieved any of this.  I recommend her highly.  E. David Marinac, President and CEO ABC Packaging Direct Home of StandUpPouches.net (www.standuppouches.net)
  • After three very poor demo's, I went to Jean and got the best demo.  I have received great feedback on it and one producer hired me immediately.  Jean was able to get the best out of me and show me what I am capable of. Chris Vartorella
  • Whether you're just beginning or, like me, need to have the rust polished off your skills, Jean can take you from printed page to a ready for prime time MP3 demo.   Marje Rody
  • Jean Zarzour is the coolest thing since ice cubes!  She made me feel like her best friend the minute I walked in the door which really helped me to feel comfortable enough to explore what my voice could do.  I have been waiting a long time to talk with someone who has this much insight into the business and my demo is evidence that I found her! Thanks Jean!   Kristina Rivera

  • This course truly lives up to its name. Without Jean, I would never have found all the nutty characters that live in my larynx. Yes, she will challenge you, but never make you feel insecure. I thoroughly enjoyed myself, met a lot of cool, hilarious people and came away with professionally produced piece of work. A very creative, rewarding experience.  Carolyn Cull
  • You really know your stuff Girlfriend!!!  I wouldn't hesitate to do it all over again.  It was a GREAT experience and an absolute joy to have been apart of it. Your knowledge of this voice over business is vast, and you were so gracious to share so much of your "know how" with us.  Thank you so much for really caring about this business and for trying to coach us in the right direction!  Kathy Boyd
  • The minute you meet Jean, you get your first lesson in self-confidence. She has a great gift for assessing the strengths and weaknesses of each student, addressing the concerns, questions and specific goals of each individual. Her friendly and relaxed approach coupled with her passion for what she does makes for a juicy environment for creative challenge and growth. Highly recommended for people at any stage of their voice over career.  Anne McEvoy

  • Play House Square Center  Thank you for making the Extreme Festival an incredible weekend. When I saw you working with the kids, encouraging them with high expectations, I knew you had the talent for both putting the show together and making the kids happy. Although other people could have pulled the weekend off, your personality and interaction with the kids really made a difference. I can't wait to work with you again! Thanks again and welcome as one of our favorite new teaching artists at Playhouse Sq.!!   Ray Gargano, Education Outreach Manager, Playhouse Square Center
  • The Beck Center –Film and Television Acting Program   I Have had the pleasure of employing Jean Zarzour as a teacher of Film and Television Acting. • Brecksville Theater on the Square   Jean has had a 3 year association with BTOT. As director, writer and teacher, Jean showed a willingness to go above the requirements of her role and displayed outstanding teamwork with the musical director, choreographer and board members. As an idea person she was eager to work with our organization to facilitate growth within the curriculum, which in turn helped attract new students to the program. Her enthusiasm for the arts was obvious with a positive influence on her students as well as our organization. Scott A. McPherson, President BTOTS Board of Directors, Brecksville Theater on the Square
  • Hathaway Brown School  "How fun it was to work with you on Sing On! You brought so many hilarious touches to the show and the student actors thrived on them. Thank you for working so well with these young actors and for not compromising because of their lack of experience or their age. You showed them respect by holding them to such high standards. And- how often do the director and choreographer get to laugh themselves silly collaborating and then get to enjoy the audience laughing themselves silly watching the fruits of their labor? This experience was one of those magical times." Molly Cornwell, Director of Theatre, Hathaway Brown School
